Overview
A clean surface is what makes a coating last
Sandblasting projects abrasive material at a surface under force. It is the most reliable way to remove existing coatings, rust, and contaminants, and it gives new coatings a profile to bond to.
Our people have the equipment and experience to blast everything from saline pits to bridge arches. Where blasting is over water or near the public, we encapsulate the work area so debris is contained, as we did on the Evan Walker Bridge over the Yarra River.
AWS Services was founded in 2000 by Director Carlos Abreu, who still manages operations today. Every project is backed by a team with experience across the civil, construction, and remedial sectors.

What is sandblasting used for?
Removing existing coatings, rust, and contaminants, and preparing surfaces before coating or restoration.
Can you blast near water or the public?
Yes. We encapsulate the work area to contain blasting debris, as we did over the Yarra River on the Evan Walker Bridge.
Can you apply the coating as well?
Yes. Our protective coatings team applies epoxy, polyurethane, polyurea, and paint systems after blasting.
